Sasebo Elementary School is located in the center of the Dragon Glen housing area adjacent to Sasebo Naval base. We comfortably share the campus with E. J. King Middle/High School. The elementary school has 248 students in Sure Start to 6th grade.
We are proud of the comprehensive services we provide for our students. There is a program for preschool children with disabilities, special education services, compensatory education support, counseling, English as a second language and reading support classes. In addition to the educational specialists, we also have Art, Music, P.E. and Host Nation Culture classes taught by specialists in their fields.
We at Sasebo Elementary School feel very fortunate to be located in such a friendly community. On any given day, you will find members of the community assisting in the school in any number of ways. The teaching staff hails from different parts of the U.S. and brings to the school community the same diversity as our students but we are all focused on providing developmentally appropriate and challenging activities to all students.
